I really like the style of the rotoscoped people and the background scenery from photographed, both black and white with little colour, against the brightly coloured yellow submarine. The part in this clip that i especially like is about 6 minutes 18 seconds in where Ringo star is walking past a bridge and the submarine appears at every other gap to confuse him.
Also at about 8 minutes 50, when Fred walks into a door all the other creatures burst out of all the other doors - I this this would make a very good aspect to parody, as it's also a very famous part of the animation.

Yellow Submarine
The Yellow Submarine movie of the Beatles has some great, very stylised animation in it. I thought that maybe doing a parody of it but in the form of the ident would be effective as it is something everyone would recognise - the Beatles being known worldwide and through all age groups. Also, the music theme is very popular amoungst young adults - the target audience.
The part in this particular clip that I am particularly interested in is at about 9 minutes 8 seconds where the Beatles are jumping in and out of the black holes - as this is one of the most famously animated parts of the movie.

This video gave me the idea that I could make objects move to music - or have the objects themselves move in a rhythm that created music.
My original idea was to make an assortment of frying pans flip pancakes a beat, using the idea of the frying pan from a previous post, but as the frying pans flip up and then land, the noise made would combine to make a beat.
Previous E4 Idents
Firstly I have been doing some research into e4 idents and have found a few with styles that I really like for inspiration and so I can have a better insight into what the target audience prefers.
The one above is actually the winner of the estings challenge on E4 for creating an Ident for TV.
