Designs and Referencing

The Sea of Holes Referencing and Design. I took a look at the original animation, and the whole thing seemed to have a very roughly animated hand drawn, painted effect. It reminded me of the Monty Python animation style, which seems to have drawn influence from this film.

I have decided to use cut outs, like monty python and paint each image using watercolour to create a similar effect.

Looking at these I have decided to use a similar layout to the second image, as it would be easiest to create a sense of perspective and depth by resizing the cut out images.


I created the sea of holes by resizing a painted black hole and copying it multiple times to create a similar effect to the film.
